Focus Groups

Group discussions

Focus Groups, which are purely qualitative, are indispensable because they are an economical way of collecting quick, albeit unrepresentative qualitative information. They are often used in the project phase of larger studies. Group discussions should establish, in particular, that as many of the dimensions of an issue as possible are covered in the research data.

Product tests

Transmissions have been subjected to a test in the form of a standardised group discussion before inclusion in a program since 1993. Current transmissions are already checked in the same way. The aim of the product tests is to optimise various program elements.
