Legal form

    The Mediapulse Corporation is a subsidiary of the Mediapulse Foundation for Media Research.

    The Mediapulse Foundation was constituted in conjunction with a legal mandate (art. 78-81 Federal Radio and Television Act, audience research foundation) and has a board chosen by the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC). This board consists of six representatives from each of the three following interest groups: SRG SSR (Swiss Broadcasting Corporation), the private radio and television broadcasters and the advertising industry. Foundation president is Marco de Stoppani.

    The Mediapulse Foundation has delegated its research tasks to its subsidiary, Mediapulse Corporation.

    The board of Mediapulse Corporation consisted on 31 december 2011 of six directors (two from each of the three interest groups represented on the Foundation Council) and one president:
