Mission
Mediapulse is an applied media research organization. It supplies data on the broadcasting and usage of radio and television programmes in Switzerland. These data are recognized as reference points and a barometer of success.
Mediapulse commissions external research organizations to collect its data. Mediapulse creates an atmosphere of transparency towards its customers and gives them a choice of external research organizations and of the methods used.
Quality criteria
As a research organization Mediapulse has an obligation towards professionalism, and its approach is oriented to relevant criteria and internationally recognized standards.
Quality criteria include independence in the choice of methods, objectivity in the use of research instruments, the reliability of data collection procedures and the validity and representation of the results provided. Continuous internal and external evaluations ensure that these quality criteria are met at all times.
Strategic goals
Mediapulse is continually adapting its measurement systems in line with changing media usage habits. In order to achieve this, the company relies on its own measurement of radio and television usage levels and on the permanent monitoring and further development of measuring techniques.
In the medium term, Mediapulse is aiming to harmonize its measuring systems as a way of preparing a correlation between radio and television data.
